Format of Equities Files: The standard format of the equities daily files is comma delimited. Example: A,05/16/2005,21.85,21.90,21.38,21.56,4543800 AA,05/16/2005,26.50,26.79,26.39,26.60,6653900 IBM,05/15/2005,72.53,73.86,72.52,73.16,7180500 The first field is always the Equities root symbol. In the example above A - AGILENT TECH INC, AA - ALCOA INC, IBM - INTL BUSINESS MACHINES. The second field is the date of the prices. As you can see from the example above, corrections can sent down with the prior days date. The date is always a 10 character buffer. The first two characters are the month, the 4th and 5th characters are the day of month and the 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th characters are the century and year. The final five fields are the open, high, low, closing and volume price respectively. Exchange is not normally included within the daily files as the files are normally separated by exchange. The Exchange codes is listed are: A - AMEX I - Indices N - NYSE Q - Nasdaq D - OTC BB U - OTC PinkSheet F - Mutual Fund Updates are available each night by: 16:30pm CST - US Equities 18:00pm CST - US Equities & Funds 18:30pm CST - TSX, US Equities & Funds 20:00pm CST - Final Settlements on all securities
